Marketing Automation

GetResponse Pricing

When it comes time to invest in a marketing automation platform, a common question I hear is “how much does it cost?” I’ve recently been working with some affiliate marketers who have been looking to implement marketing and business automation and a common platform that they choose is GetResponse.

So, let’s take a look at GetResponse pricing.

You’ve Got Options

With GetResponse, you have four options when it comes to plans. It really depends on what you’re looking to use the platform when it comes to deciding which option is best for you and your business. Just starting out? Then the ‘Email’ plan is going to be best suited. Large enterprise? Then the ‘Enterprise’ plan is going to work for you.

GetResponse Pricing

The above GetResponse pricing is for monthly plans. If you’re keen to save money and have already decided that GetResponse is for you, then you can save 18% on yearly plans and 30% on 2-year plans.

What’s Different Between The Plans?

The GetResponse platform is very powerful and the plans allow you to select the level that best fits your business needs. Let’s take a look at the differences between the plans.

  • As the name suggests, this plan is predominantly for those looking for an email autoresponder only.
  • The base pricing for this plan allows 1,000 contacts on your list, but you can increase your list size (for a price) up to 100,000 contacts.
  • You can use ‘basic’ landing pages. This means that you can use 1 landing page on your account with up to 1,000 visitors per month.
  • This plan comes with basic marketing automation – you can use workflows and tag your contacts (which is important for segmenting your list).
  • You can have 1 user assigned to this account.
  • It starts at a very cost effective $15/month.

The Pro account features everything the ‘Email’ plan offers, plus:

  • ‘Advanced’ landing pages. This is multiple landing pages with unlimited visitors. You can also set up A/B testing… very useful if you intend to do any type of online lead generation activity.
  • Webinars with 100 attendees
  • Lead scoring to help you identify you ‘hottest’ prospects.
  • Abandoned cart automation… very useful for e-commerce sites!
  • Tracking contact activity on your website. This means that you can learn what your prospects are interested in and how they interact with your site.
  • Automation segmentation. Automatically segment your lists through automation.
  • You can have 3 users assigned to the account.
  • The CRM module is unlocked, allowing you to better manage your relationship with your customers and subscribers.
  • The eCommerce functions are unlocked.
  • FREE email marketing certification program valued at $199.
  • It starts at $49/month for monthly plans.

The Max account has everything from the previous plans, plus:

  • Custom DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)… I’ll be writing an article on this later so will link back soon.
  • Campaign consulting with a GetResponse expert.
  • Webinars for 500 attendees.
  • Up to 5 users
  • This plan starts at $165/month.

The Enterprise plan for GetResponse pricing includes all the features from above, in addition to:

  • An account manager to help with all things GetResponse.
  • Dedicated infrastructure.
  • Dedicated IP address.
  • Maximum performance when it comes to mail outs.
  • Consulting to ensure that your account maintains its deliverability goals.
  • Up to 10 users
  • This plan has a lot of extra dedicated resources so the pricing reflects that. It starts at $1,199/month.

GetResponse Free Trial

With the Email, Pro, and Max plans you get a 30-day free trial. This isn’t one of those dodgy free trials that you have to put in your credit card details AND they skimp on features. It is a fully functional trial, allowing you to “test drive” the features before deciding on which plan to commit to. Also, you won’t need to put in your credit card details… so there’s no risk!

How many times have you heard that the money is in the list? Well, if you haven’t started building a list yet, now is the perfect time to start. Marketing automation is available at a very cost-effective price. Sign up for a risk-free 30-day trial with GetResponse and see just what is possible with marketing and business automation.

  1. I was doing some research on marketing automation for my business, actually this is my first time come across Get Response. I think the monthly fee of $15 is reasonable and perfect for my business! I found another one with $38 per month with is double the price of Get Response. do they have tutorials to help me to get started?

    1. Hi Emily,

Thanks for your comment, it’s great that you’ve taken the time! I really appreciate it!

GetResponse is quite cost effective… especially for the Email plan!

Yes, they have tutorials to get you started and to help you build momentum.

      Thanks again Emily!

  2. Overall this topic was very easy to understand. I recently started Affiliate marketing and it can be fun but a lot at times. But I believe you can do anything if you keep trying! I did have one simple (or not so simple question lol) What is the difference between W/A and Getresponse? And why do you recommend this one over W/A? (Wealthy Affiliate) Also what advice do you give someone who can not find Affiliate programs?

    1. Hi DaYanna,

Thanks so much for your comment, I appreciate it!

WealthyAffiliate is a community and training program to help you learn affiliate marketing while GetResponse is software to help you automate your marketing and business.

If you are struggling to find affiliate programs, I recommend Googling things you’re interested in + affiliate program. Another option is to sign up to Amazon Affiliates and focus on products from there. I know that WealthyAffiliate has plenty of training on there so well worth a look back over their training. Also, inside WA is Jaaxy, which can help you with keyword research and finding affiliate programs.

      Thanks again DaYanna!

  3. Great post and good info.

I know that email marketing is key to have a very good business, no matter what it is, and it can earn you a lot of money.

However, I was kind of afraid to stumble into the wrong one and do damage to my site instead of growing.

I’m lucky to find your post, GetResponse seems to be a very good one for the price.

What I will do is trying out the free trial and decide it is for me.

Thanks for sharing it with us!

    1. Hi Emmanuel,

Thank you for your comment! I appreciate you taking the time to read my article!

Please let me know how you go with GetResponse and feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions.

      Thanks again Emmanuel!

  4. Hi Shane,

Thank you so much for this very educational article. After reading this piece, I come up with several questions:

    1) Does this email automation works for every website?2) Is there any tutorial of how it works?3) Who install it?4) Is there a technical support for this products?

I think this idea of email automation is brilliant! Because there are lots of people wandering in the online world trying to connect or to for offer services.

This idea also help for businesses like legal or any administrative assistant.

I’m wondering if this works for website like Wealthy Affiliate? If yes, How?

Once again thank you so much for sharing your brilliant ideas.

    1. Hi Julie,

Thank you for commenting! I appreciate you taking the time!

      1) Yep, marketing automation be used for any website. You don’t install it on your site, rather it’s connected through forms and plugins (potentially).

      2) Yep, there are comprehensive tutorials and I will be publishing training regularly.

      3) There’s no real installation, but there is some setup involved. There is a ‘wizard’ to get you started during the trial.

      4) Yes, there is technical support… you can also message me for help!

With Wealthy Affiliate, you are building a website in a niche and publishing content. Marketing automation allows you to collect subscribers and build a list that are interested in your niche. This amplifies your content as you can distribute your content through email marketing. You can also track users on you site to see who is interested in your specific articles.

      Thanks Julie!

  5. I believe automatic marketing can be helpful but I have difficulty deciding which system to use.. I understand you are promoting GetResponse but would you please let me know if you are using this program yourself?

Even though there’s a 30 day trial, will you lose everything you’ve set up until that point if you don’t buy in.   I ask because I’ve had a similar experience.

I’m really struggling trying to capture and accumulate emails and could use help in this area.

Thank you for taking the time to present this information.

    Vanna Pear.

    1. Hi Vanna!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my post! I really appreciate it!

I certainly do use GetResponse myself. I use it for one of my businesses where there may be affiliate marketing, as my main marketing automation platform, ActiveCampaign, doesn’t allow affiliate marketing. So my offline businesses are run on ActiveCampaign, whilst my online business is currently on GetResponse. I trialled a few different platforms and decided upon GetResponse, but I will definitely be writing comparisons for the others that I trialled.

In the 30 day trial you’re not going to lose the most valuable asset, which is your list. You can always export that to another platform if you so wish. You may lose landing pages, forms etc however most people won’t be able to build many during the trial anyway.

If you’re struggling to capture leads, I wrote about some lead magnet ideas here that may help

Please let me know if I can help in any way.

      Thanks again Vanna.

  6. The email plan would be perfect for people with a single blog I think. However, if you’re promoting multiple products you probably gonna need multiple landing pages and in that case the A/B Testing would be nice to have also. I think the $49/month plan for the Pro plan is quite reasonable. Looks good!

    1. Hi Laura!

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my article! I really appreciate it!

If you’re promoting multiple products, you can always host those pages on your own website and distribute the links to your list via the email marketing platform. Then, you could use your one landing page to craft an offer for people to either sign up to your list, register for an event/training etc.

      Thanks again!

  7. Hi Shane, I think this could be a really handy tool to use for my business. Being able to automate my marketing tasks could be something very useful that seems to save a lot of time and energy. I love creating content but when it comes to prioritising my marketing duties, I feel like I get held back. Can I ask does this help automate with social channels for example Facebook or Twitter? Overall great article though!

  8. I was looking about a software to help me automate my marketing campaigns and came across your site. It’s the first time I hear about GetResponse and I would like to know more about the software, beside its pricing structure that you have detailed so well. How does this product works compared to its competitors? Only the price is its biggest advantage?

    1. Hi Leo!

Thanks very much for your comment and questions.

Price definitely isn’t the only advantage. It is a full featured marketing automation platform. I personally use it for one of my online businesses. I use other platforms for my offline businesses, however I could quite easily achieve what I need to with GetResponse for my offline businesses as well. I just already have everything built in my current platforms haha.

I’ll be writing some comparison articles across all the platforms I use so be sure to check back in the future.

      Hope that helps!

P.S. It’s worth trying the free trial with GetResponse to see if it fits your needs.

  9. That’s a great info that I could use for my online business. I’ve been considering a few product to use for my email marketing and it looks like Get Response is a good deal to settle on. Trying it for free without financial details is encouraging for me to try it but I have one question. Would you be able to get your list in case you want to switch to another automation platform?

    1. Hi DerrAd,

Thanks very much for your comment!

Yes, you certainly can export your list if you decide to change to another platform.

      Hope that helps!

  10. Great Post! I have heard of get response before but this is the first time I am getting a good look at it. The trial sounds excellent unlike a lot of “free” trials. I think that it is important to have an email auto responder especially when your business is being scaled.

I think GetResponse will be my first choice to build my list.

    1. Hi Renton!

Thanks very much for your comment! I agree, an email auto-responder is important for when you are trying to scale your business.
